A house boat is a boat that has been specifically designed or modified to be used as a dwelling, essentially a home on the water. House boats can feature all the amenities of a standard home, many times with creature comforts available on at vacation resorts. The sky is the limit with respect to the owner's wallet.   Although I've have no personal experience owning a houseboat nevermind living in one, I have visited quite a few over the years. I've been lucky enough to spend some time during house boat rentals. I've also been fortunate to have friends who travel via house boat to many exciting places. Got a house boat of your own?
